But...it's only got 74 reviews and has a reserve now price of 1700 or ...flexible 2600 which is quite a disparity.

I looked for it elsewhere and it's advertised elsewhere but the review are all booking. Com

74 reviews is a fair amount (if all positive). Not sure about price fluctuations- but that can surely happen on demand. You are covered though if it’s not real under Booking.com

I arrived at an apartment I’d booked and paid for through booking.com…..keycode didn’t work, no response from the owner and the site didn’t offer an alternative. Got a refund a week later but had to fend for myself. There are no guarantees 😢

@OnlyFrench thanks

If I book it I can do it direct , I don't trust booking because i reserved a place through them and it turned out my details have been leaked to a scammer and I was getting scam calls etc

When I looked into it it seemed that booking had lots of scams and scandals like that.
So I wouldn't book through them.

It does have a lisxene no and I'm wondering on France if that means anything

I've stopped using Booking, now only go through locally based agencies with high trustpilot scores and do exhaustive due diligence. It's a pain in the arse.

YummyBelicious · 06/01/2026 09:29

Don't book direct without an agency as you are not covered for a scam if you pay direct to a person without the protection of the booking website as the go-between

Bestchocolate · 06/01/2026 13:49

@YummyBelicious thanks so it's booking or not at all I guess

Can you do a reverse search on the images? A friend did this before booking and discovered her too good to be true Greek villa was just that - a scam.

Bestchocolate · 07/01/2026 15:12

@Willowskyblue what do you mean re search how do I check

@Bestchocolate if you Google how to reverse search an image it will show you the steps and the origin of the picture eg my friend’s Greek villa turned out to be a villa in Croatia but they’d just pinched the pictures to use in the scam site.
