Has anyone done Eurocamp or similar without a car?

I’m a non driver for medical reasons, which is very tiresome as a single parent :( DD will be 7 this year and I’m considering for 2027 that we might do Eurocamp or similar instead of our usual all-inclusive, which I can’t help finding a bit dull. Does anyone have experience of this kind of holiday as a non-driver? I would like to go either at Easter or in the summer and would ideally like to be near a beach or lake. Any suggestions appreciated!

Hi, yes, we go to Eurocamp (3 kids) without a car as neither of us want to drive abroad. Just organise a taxi from the airport before you go & then ask reception about local buses. Our latest was near Venice & really great/ easy. On a beach with 3 or 4 pools. Don't worry about needing a car, just enjoy yourself!

Yeah, they usually have a bus stop outside! Try lake Garda or Venice

Jet 2 do packages to a couple of Spanish eurocamps.

@Blackeyelinerbigeyes would you mind sharing the name of that one? Sounds great!

We booked eurocamp in France and got the Eurostar to Gare du Nord and then the train to the nearest station where we were picked up by a taxi. We knew the site did trips to Disneyland so we booked that separately and used their coach trip to take us there. We then had the last couple of nights at Disney before getting the Eurostar home from Marne La Valle

If you go on their website, there’s a chat function and you can ask there, and they will give you a list, can’t remember what they were called but there was a few.

Of course! It's called Sant'Angelo village. There are shops/ restaurants/ organised trips to Venice etc.. Was great!

You could do Vilanova without a car.

From Barcelona take a train to Vilanova then taxi from the station. There's a bus to the beach from the park and their are coach day trips from thr park to Barcelona.

The beach is in the main town so you can get the bus down in the morning and do shopping there too. It's a 5/10 min drive so taxi v reasonable.

You can also get the train to stiges/other beach towns etc easily

A friend did playa montroig near Barcelona with no car and said it was excellent- just did a taxi from the airport, good facilities on site, good bus available, nice beach etc

I’m looking at lake Garda - fly to Verona and 25 mins taxi to sites around preachers/bardolino

keepingsanity · 05/01/2026 21:07

You can also fly to besiege. Plenty of sites nearby

We did an excellent one near Venice - Union Lido. Public bus from/to the airport. Easy bus to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go, including the little port for Venice. Amazing site, so much to do and beautiful and clean…reasonably priced restaurants and it’s own beach…and waterpark on site.

We go to Yelloh camps in France. Get the TGV to nearest city, then a local train then a cab to campsite.

If you do lake garda, summer would be better. We went in Easter, public transport (particularly the boats) weren't running on the full schedule yet.

Thanks everyone, this is so helpful! I am looking all of these up :)

We went here, flew to Reus, it was huge and lovely!!

We’ve done lake Garda eurocamp without a car. Flying into Verona then taxi to the lake. Peschiera has a train station so you can do day trips to Verona or Venice if you stay near there and boat trips around the lake. There was even a free shuttle bus to Lidl (though this was six years ago).

That should say Beziers! I’ve been looking at club ferret and club napoleon

also Venice sites are doable in a taxi (but a bit further out so can be expensive)

I’ve been to Le Ruisseau without a car - flew into Biarritz. It was great!
