Child potty trained - poo regression

Hi,

My DC (3.5months) was successfully potty trained (still in night nappies) 6 months ago. DC has started having poo’s in his underwear, daily for the last 2 - 3 weeks

Hes not constipated or having diarrhoea, hes sleeping well, eating & drinking well, not been unwell.

Only 2 “changes” I can think of his we had a 2nd DC last summer - but he coped well & adores his sibling and he’s been out of nursery for nearly three week due to Christmas and how his days fall.

Anyone else gone through this? Could do with some encouraging stories.

I have posted in the Potty Training thread

Has his exercise during the day changed with being off for Xmas? If he's moving less or more or at different times it might be moving things along when he's then engrossed in doing something else. Does he usually take himself to the toilet/potty or let you know? Have you been as available what with Xmas and everything being busy?
I know you say he's not constipated, but how often is he pooing and is it a soft sausage or nuggets and the soiling could be poo overflow?

Yes, weve been more sedentary, he goes to nursery 3.5 days ago & it’s an active nursery, so maybe (hopefully) that’s it, he’s also not been for 3 swimming lessons & 2 didirugby lessons.

Yes, other than wiping he’s independent, took to potty training so well, which is why this has thrown me.

No. Definitely normal poo, not overflow.

Hes back at nursery tomorrow, I’ll speak to the staff & hope all goes well
