Son has moved to short term rented accomodation

He might stay in the area permanently but for the time being it's for 6 months. He's moved for work.

Does he need to tell his car insurance? DVLA? Bank etc etc?

He needs to tell the car insurer if he has the car with him at the new address- he may have to pay more or get a refund if the new area is “safer”!. If you are happy to be post mistress then no need to do change of address for bank etc for 6 mths in my view. No different really to a student living away.

I would definitely update all things car related but probably not worry so much about anything else, assuming it is all at your address
