How do you organise your gym bag?!

I’m no gym bunny, more a middle-aged, post menopausal women trying to get fit! I joined a gym recently and am doing some classes, one of which is aqua aerobics. So, some days I have a wet costume, and then I also have shower stuff, deodorant etc. At the moment I’m just chucking it all in my backpack but I’m sure there’s a better system!

Do you have separate compartments? Mine has two compartments so I tend to put any grubby/ wet stuff on one side in a carrier bag

I just take a big ikea sandwich bag for my wet stuff.

I have a toiletry bag which lives in my gym bag which has a mini razor, a shampoo, a conditioner, hair oil, deodorant and very minimal make up set of bb cream and brow gel. Plus a perfume
spray (like sol de janiero or phlur) so I can always leave looking and smelling fresh. It stays there so I know it’s always there. I use the gym shower gel on the wall so one less thing.

You could also have packing cubes to keep sweaty gym kit separate

Keep reorganising it so I can never find anything...
Usually gym then swim and sauna, so have a backpack (20 min walk to leisure centre). Dry stuff in one section, towels in another, wet cossie goes in with towels.
Shampoo etc in small front section using travel bottles to save space. Dedicated cheap, small hairbrush after losing several good ones.

I have a specific gym bag and keep a full set of toiletries, hair brush spare pants and socks in it to save time. I keep some spare plastic bags for wet clothes and just dry out and re-use as much as poss. I just need to put spare clothes in

Large holdall containing:
Shoes in end pocket.
Gym floor stuff (headphones etc.) in a small separate bag to take out.
Shower toiletries in their own little travel bag and flip flops both in a supermarket carrier bag, which also gets filled with dirty kit and wet towel afterwards (may upgrade this one day but works fine at the minute).
Post shower clothes and towel in a cloth bag (so I don't get confused with wet and dry!).
Make up bag for moisturiser, deodorant etc.
Drinks in a separate pocket.

I have several different bags based on the activity. So one set up for yoga, one for swimming, one for racket sports. Etc etc. I am lucky enough to be 20min walk from the center, so I shower back at home. Just wear the approaching for the activity I’m attending eg gym stuff for yoga and easy tracksuit for swimming with cozzy underneath.

I only do aqua aerobics.
I use a large handbag, I don’t need to take a towel, I put my wet costume in the bags provided. I have two different toiletry bags and a little pouch I store my credit card and phone. I save my nearly used moisturiser, deodorant etc for my gym
bag so it’s not as heavy as taking full bottles. My bag has room for flip flops and a magazine/book, HRT and my underwear. I wear my costume under my clothes to the class.

These are lovely, but a bit expensive for me. Thanks for sharing the link.

I have a speedo backpack that won't win any fashion awards but it has a separate compartment for wet kit / dirty trainers etc, a front pocket for your membership card, locker coin etc, a big side pocket for things like headphones, a small side pocket and a water bottle pocket.

I have a wash bag for shampoo, deodorant etc, a hairbrush and a pair of flipflops that live in that bag so I don't have to pack them every time I go out. Likewise I have a little bag that contains my swimhat and googles. And I usually keep a couple of spare pairs of pants in there too! Use packing cubes or those cheap drawer string shoe bags to keep clean / dirty kit and shoes separate and to reduce the risk of everything falling out of your bag and your clean pants landing on the wet floor!
