Hi,

Had a growth scan today. 32 weeks.

Measurements were:
HC: 306.0mm
AC: 270.5mm
FL: 61.4mm
EFW: 1848.0g

Does this seem small?

Thanks.

OP did they not give you the centiles?

Justlostmybagel · 05/01/2026 18:04

Did they not tell you at the scan?

It sounds average to me. Almost four pounds and they can gain half a pound a week at this stage so you're on track for a 7-8 pound baby.

On the report it said ‘EFW plots on 29.9 centile’ x

That's a perfectly normal centile then. Why do you think they're too small?

Worriedmumma2025 · 05/01/2026 18:40

Yep sounds fine. Also there is a margin of error for all measurements taken on ultrasound. What is causing you worry?

29.9% just seemed small for 32 weeks to me when reading other forums online as a lot were over 50-60% at that stage, but i suppose every baby is different! Do they only start to worry if it’s below 10%?
Doppler flow studies & liquor was all within normal range to
Think I’m just a panicker! x

That's not how the percentages work though. 50% of babies will be bigger than the 50th percentile and 50% will be smaller. Babies are all different sizes :)

I think it was because my fundal height a few weeks prior to the growth scan was on the 50th centile then the growth scan is on 29.9% centile as if there’s a growth restriction but I get that scans are the most accurate x
