Do you have the perfect choc chip cookie recipe?

I've tried a couple of recipes found via Google, and delia smiths, but my cookies don't have that lovely chewy texture. They're slight too cakey and dry. Any recommendations please?

So i don’t use egg? Always found these soft / chewy as long as don’t overbake.

100g softened butter
100g soft brown sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
150g self rasisint flour
chocolate chips (i’ve also used mashed up mini eggs, smarties, fudge pieces and white choc chips or added oats and rasins to make variations)

preheat oven to 180
mix the butter sugar and syrup together until creamy.
mix in the flour then add chocolate
use hands to bring together as a “dough” then divide into small balls (i make about 10-12 i think from memory)
place onto baking trays, don’t flatten & cook for about 10 mins until golden.
leave on the tray to cool for a few minutes then transfer onto a plate / wire rack

i’m going to make some tomorrow now - so much for starting my healthy eating 🙈
