Curious to know how long the blocks are, whether you felt it was worth it, did you earn enough to offset your petrol costs? Any insights much appreciated.

Just wanted to bump for you as I'm also wandering if this might be worth doing 🙂

Thanks… I work long shifts but fewer days so thought I might investigate earning a bit more on my spare days.

I did, but would sometimes end up quite far from home. The number of parcels would be less in that case. I didn't mind it if I ended up in a nice area but there were times that I felt very unsafe.
Once petrol was taken out, I don't think I earned much per shift, so I wouldn't do it again

Sorry didn't answer how long blocks were! Between 2.5 hours to 5 hours for me. I always finished well within time, as I sorted out the parcels in order before I left the Amazon facility

@mintichThanks for that… interesting to hear that you didn’t think you earned much after petrol costs.

My Dad does it, he retired early so doesn't have to worry about going over tax threshold etc, he offsets his mileage against pay.
He really enjoys it, but I think for something to do more than the money. He's had a few hairy experiences finding customers fallen at home and had to call an ambulance, plus a HUGE amount of drunks having their alcohol delivered who can be troublesome.
I'm not sure it's worth doing if it'll tip you over a tax threshold or anything like that.
