What has your experience on Librium been?

I would like to go to rehab in Ireland but they don't do a detox and said I should go to my GP for Librium. He wants me to go to the hospital for an LFT test before then but will prescribe.

Has anyone been on the medication? What was your experience on it?

I was on it in rehab.
It should stop you having any withdrawal symptoms but not give you any other feelings.
The trickiest thing might be stopping drinking in an unstructured environment on your own while you detox, do you feel ok about that?
