In terms of bad luck

6th Jan I think but mine always down sooner!

As far as I know the tradition for bad luck is by midnight on January 6th.

Twelfth Night. The evening of 5th January.

In my family they have always been taken down on the 6th Jan.

On the 6th, after 12th night which is the 5th. (Although for the god-fearing, there’s no such thing as bad luck)

Traditionally they are meant to be taken down the day after the Christmas edition of the Radio Times runs out.
