Lymph node pain after drinking

Comes on in minutes after only a sip or two. Pain in neck, shoulders and top of legs. I have never been able to drink.

Just googled it and Dr Google came up with a Lymphoma side effect. But I had this pain the first time I tried alcohol about 30 years ago and on the few occasions since.

Please can I ask if anyone else has it and if there are any reasons given? Would love to be able to drink half a glass of wine socially.

I have this, I also have mast cell activation syndrome and my doctors think it's related. Haven't found a way to stop it yet, sorry. Wine is the worst for me.

Thanks @SmoothCollie That is really interesting, I also had MCAS (suspected by a consultant, not officially diagnosed) triggered by an injury/bad reaction to a medication. The MCAS seems to have reduced after a few years. I am still taking a low dose of antihistamine and had the first sip of alcohol for years over Christmas and within minutes was in a lot of pain. It does wear off after about half an hour, but is no fun and I will avoid alcohol as much as possible. I don’t get any other symptoms like hives or flushing, just the immediate pain in areas that indicate it likely is lymph nodes. .

Like the name. I have got rough collies.
