Make-up for a 48 year old on a budget 🤩

Hi all,
Recently been made redundant & needing to replace lots of my (old and not in great condition) make-up. I don’t spend a fortune anyway (maybelline/Revlon etc) but wondering what brands everyone uses & recommends.
i am often told I look younger than 48 (woo!) & want to continue with the foundation/bronzer/eye liner but really don’t know where the best quality brands are that won’t cost the earth.
Any recommendations welcome!

Go across to Style & Beauty, there will be plenty of advice and help on there. Smile

E.L.F have lots of great products and are really cheap as well. Superdrug often have 3 for 2 across all cosmetic brands so you can mix and match too!

I highly recommend No7 from Boots they usually have offers

I mix higher- end make up with cheaper brands - Estee Lauder double wear foundation and eyeliner as they are my key products (bad skin which needs covering and light eyes and eyelashes which need outlining) with blusher from primark and lipstick and eyebrow pencil from rimmel.

I was coming on to say E.L.F - I really like their tubing mascara and I also have their primer and foundation which is light. I also like their liquid eyeliner. I have a lot of trinny makeup and it’s been relegated since buying E.L.F.

Big fan of ELF also. 55 year old and it’s transformed my look.

What products do you wear? I'm in my early 40s and wear Nats tinted moisturiser or Laura Geller double baked powder foundation, nars under eye corrector and concealer, various bronzer / blushers / brow product / mascara and I like the jones road miracle balm as cream blushers.

Another vote for ELF. Revolution is also great - highly pigmented eyeshadow compared to others I've used and lasts the day.

Revlon do a nice concealer called glimmer but I'm a huge fan of I.T Cosmetics, little bit more expensive but worth it.
L'Oreal also have a nice serum foundation.
ELF is another favourite, I like their eyebrow pencils and eyeshadows and Morphe lip liners.
Maybelline mascara and lip glosses.
No7 cream bronzer is a dupe for the Channel one and half the price.
Oh and Revlon do a nice cream eyeshadow that's a dupe for Charlotte Tilburry xx

I really like the maybelline eraser concealer.

If you are on insta or facebook check out Rebecca beauty. She’s a make up artist with her own make up range. Her bronzers and blushers are great and designed for mature skin

Kiki is good and has a good range of colours and coverage to choose from . However the stores are dotted about so depends on location

I just got a brilliant foundation and powder foundation from there. Perfect colour which is hard as I'm quite a pink skin tone and many are too pale or too yellow.

Elf is the best budget brand and frequently on offer in Superdrug.

I’m 49 and look a little bit younger than I am.
i find wearing make up makes me look older and I’ve never been one for heavy make up anyway.

i tend to use a tinted moisturiser or bb cream. I’m very fair and have liked the L’Oréal lightly tinted moisturiser in fair. I’ve recently discovered The Ordinary tinted serum and now use just that. I tried a Korean brand that I like too but can’t recall what it was.

i use Clinique black honey lip tint and also use this on my cheeks. I’m going to try the brown mascara that goes with it as I don’t usually bother with my eyes.
