Does anyone have a projector for a TV?

Are they good? Comparable to a TV screen? Any pitfalls? I would love it if you would show me or describe your set up.

I've got a fairly big living room but it's an awkward layout and the placement of the TV is always annoying. It's just occurred to me that this could be an option? But I'm a bit of a tech dinosaur so some opinions and options would be really appreciated.

Happy New Year everyone 😊

I used to have one and the main issue is that you need to be in quite a dark room to be able to see the picture properly. That was a long time ago so they may have improved but I think it's an issue as they are not backlit like TVs. I would say it's ok for a dedicated cinema room but not great for everyday.

Ah. Ok, that sounds annoying... Back to the drawing board! Thank you 😊

Projectors need to a distance from the wall/screen. They use a lamp to provide the image and a fan to cool the lamp. Sme kind of wall mount TV?

I have one in the bedroom and the quality is comparable to our tv downstairs. It’s the Samsung Freestyle its brilliant

Quality is great, but you do have to have a very dark room which actually got on my nerves because it was like living in a cave!
