Loveholidays baggage transfer - help!

Hi all, last minute panic going away on holiday! We have booked a Loveholidays package.
We are flying from Glasgow to Rome, with a 1 hour layover in Schipol.
My worry is, do we need to go and pick up our bags and re check them in or will they automatically get put onto the Rome flight from Schipol? It’s only a 1 hour layover which makes it very tight if we have to do that so I’m panicking!

I’ve done a bit of googling and it appears the bags will be automatically transferred, but now worried that the 1 hour layover is quite tight for time!!

Are both flights with the same airline ? If it your bags will transfer it it isn’t you’ll need to get the bags yourself and check them in for the next flight

Airline dependent, with BA all the way through they likely will be checked through, with easyJet all the way through for example they won’t be. An hour is very very tight in any circumstances!

Is it one ticket, or two separate ones? If its a through ticket they should gave planned for the time

Just get in touch with love holidays and ask. I expect as it’s a package holiday they will be checked in all the way through.

And yes, Schiphol is massive. My DH connects there regularly, flying Schengen to Non-Schengen and back, and he often only makes connections because he knows exactly where the gates are and he only has hand luggage.

As above, if you have one ticket number for the 2 flights then luggage should be checked through.

Edited to add: there was a post on the Holidays board I think regarding loveholidays "packages" and how they aren't actually packages. Loveholidays is apparently just a middleman and puts hotels and flights together for you, not like a true package holiday from Tui.

It is KLM all the way through so should be ok baggage wise, but yes still a bit concerned about the short layover time. I have messaged KLM!

the luggage will be through checked but you may need to go through immigration as the first Schengen country, that may be where the time problem is (I might be wrong about this but it’s happened to me before transferring elsewhere. KLM must think it’s possible otherwise they wouldn’t offer it, I would opt if possible for eats at the front and ensure hand luggage is fully packed and ready before landing ideally your coat etc under the seat in front so you can get ready quickly. Disembarking is the slowest bit. They may be waiting for you as you disembark to whisk you through the airport, I had this at Newark when my inbound flight was delayed, jumped immigration queue, result!
