Japanese Toilets | Is the spray powerful enough?

I'm intrigued by Japanese toilets. We're building an extension and I'm tempted to get one.

Is the bum washing spray powerful enough to do the job on its own or do you need to get your hand in there? Also, is the water heated by the toilet or is it freezing cold?

I don't really fancy a freezing cold anus and shitty hand.

I have a bidet hose and he's the water pressure is enough to clean. I just use toilet paper to dry myself and it's clean.

Mine is heated water with adjustable temperatures and spray strengths. It also has women’s spray option which is directed further forward. It has a fan dryer.
