Anyone got any similar tales?

I cut my finger on a tin can resulting in a deep cut and lots of blood. Hospital. Was at DM’s house so she drove me to the hospital whilst she recounted a similar accident she’d had as a child.

I cut my wrist open during a power cut - I was trying to isolate what had caused it, reached behind a cupboard to unplug something and forgot I'd put a sheet of glass for a picture frame behind there.

We had to call an electrician in the end - my wrist would not stop bleeding and it was hugely embarrassing talking to him clutching a tissue soaked in blood.

Still have a vertical scar on my wrist and I always worry it looks as though I might have done it intentionally.

Not a cut, but I nearly died in a similar way to Isadora Duncan.... I was hoovering ( powerful new Miele) whilst wearing a silky scarf and both ends got sucked up and started strangling me, it was quite scary at the time but hilarious looking back

Well I remember messing about with ds and dd1 dad in his parents kitchen when we were 21, play fighting (yes I know how mature) and he shoved me out the back door, went to shut the door, I put my hand up to stop the door and my hand went straight through the glass. He was mortified and felt guilty but it was my fault as well.

there was blood absolutely everywhere, I needed twenty stitches in my thumb and the fleshy bit underneath the thumb. I missed the tendon by mms. I’ve got a lovely scar there now

Same ex a year later cut the top part of his finger off cleaning the gym excercise bikes where he worked, that was nasty, they had to get him an ambulance for that one,

I do remember mum almost cutting the top of her thumb on a corn beef tin when I was 12. Bled like mad and she had to have surgery.

ive got loads of mad injuries I’ve done to my hands accidentally but I’d be here a long time!
