People who have anxiety how do you decide if you are ill - ive been horribly wrong before

I have always had issues with anxiety and i tend to put physical symptoms down to that. In the past I have been to the gp for symptoms that turn out to “just” be anxiety but ive also gone the other way and ignored real
illnesses to the point ive collapsed and ended up in hospital ( pnumonia, sepsis, appendicitis)

i feel unwell. I have no idea why have been weak and shaky for a week. No temp no pain. Just extremely weak and shaking also hot flashes. I had a cardiac ablation two weeks ago - but they could not complete the ablation as it turned out they couldnt find anything - so symptoms have been put down to innaproriatw sinus tachycardia . My heart rate right now seems fine - but i mention it because i did have the procedure 2 weeks ago under general
anesthetic.

I had a cold last week whihc was fairly minor but again no idea if its that . And finally i restarted fluoxitene 2 weeks ago. I feel really horrible but i have no idea whats causing it.

part of me wants to go to the walk in centre as i feel like its similar to when ive actually been ill in the past (had no temp
with the pneumonia) but another part is telling me its anxiety and to try and ride it out.

how on earth do you know the difference? Any advice / words of wisdom would be really apprecitated as im feeling just really unsure about what to do!

I an HCP but I also struggle with health anxiety. I think, given that you had a medical procedure recently and it’s been going on for over a week, you should get checked out.

It’s the fluoxetine.

how long will this last because i feel
awful. I did take it for about 5 years but was asked to stop over the summer ready for the ablation so i restarted after i csnt really remember side effects from the first time i think there were some but i dont recall what exactly!

DH had a catheter ablation (successfully) under GA and he took weeks to feel "right" again - partly the GA, and partly the invasive wire probing through the body. You've had a cold since, and started back on an SSRI. That's a lot going on and the weakness/shakiness could be down to the fluoxetine.
