White trainers - ecco/fitflop....

I've lost a lot of weight (yay!) and am reassessing lots of things, and now onto shoes.

I was living in hotter trainers with everything and do love a hotter trainer.. But I'm also buying new dresses and leggings and am broadening horizons.

I've never had white trainers and thought I could do white trainers with a dress? Also looking at navy ones. Although a lot less heavy in still 2.5stone overweight so still in danger of looking school marm like with some lace up shoes and dresses.

I've ordered ecco soft 7 white and navy. And fitflop rally white.
Also hotter star navy ones (didn't like the gold star on the white) which are much cheaper.
And ordered some long brown boots.

I don't have the income these shoes suggest - but have feet that cracks easily and need the comfort fit.

Looks wise I love the gazelle and the sleek addidas in Navy but the toe box is too constricting. These might make me look less frumpy though... But also reviews suggest not good for being on your feet.

Id love all the advice?

  • Pros cons for these trainers? Others I should try?

  • How do you look after white trainers? I've never had them before

  • I'm aware I'm playing it safe but happy to look unassuming and ordinary! Are either of the above less frumpy than the other?

  • How long would you expect them to last? I'm hoping to move on from my "wear same pair everyday until they die" mode.

  • Any other wisdom?

I've never spent this much on shoes before.... It's been very utilitarian whole I've been so large. For years...
