A cartilage piercing in the cold question

Ive had lobe piercings for many years, always worn gold due to allergies. Earlier this year had a couple of cartilage piercings with titanium, and I find that if I go out in the cold the cartilage piercings feel itchy. Am I right to assume that titanium gets colder than gold? And what do you all do about it, as I don’t like wearing hats?

Earmuffs?

Oh, I haven’t noticed this! I’m only 5 months in, and sometimes if it feels slightly itchy, I just think it’s probably healing.

Mine has been relatively trouble-free (touchwood!) so far. I haven’t changed the jewellery yet.

I don’t love wearing headphones / putting jumpers on etc., so I’m not sure I’d want to wear earmuffs.

I just went for a walk, and mine did annoy me a bit with my glasses / hat combo.

No, no earmuffs for me!
Its not itchy cos it’s healing, it’s definitely a cold thing.
I just wonder if it would still do it with gold there, as I’ve never had it with my lobes.
