He's my last baby and I just want to hold onto these moments forever. How have your toddlers entertained you today?

Awww!

DS is 2.5. I just love that very earnest look they have in their eyes as they ‘tell’ you something. He’s just started speaking in more complex sentences and painstakingly keeps going until he’s perfected what he wants to say, even if he ends up repeating loads of the words and pausing to remember one. It’s so cute!

That's so sweet! It's so special when they're still small enough to fall asleep while you hold them.

A couple of days ago I was chatting with my (now in her 20s) DD about a night many years ago when she only a few months old. I was giving her a bottle of milk and reading "There's a Wocket in My Pocket" to her when she reached out and grabbed my little finger with her whole fist. My heart just melted.

It was one of those absolutely perfect parent moments. It was just me and her in this darkened room, in a little bubble of calm and comfort and love. When I was telling her about it I tried to relate just how much I treasure that memory and how it encapsulated the absolute best bits of being a parent. Everything I wanted was right there in my arms. I'm not sure she quite got it but if when I die I get to relive those moments again, I'll die happy.
