What are you doing for new year eve/the 1st? DH will be working until 4pm tomorrow and it’s just me and my 9 and 7 year olds. Give me some inspiration please.

We’re going to a New Years Eve Party in the morning that our 4 year olds Little Movers class is putting on and then we might go to the Penny Arcade afterwards and on New Years Day we will probably go bowling or to the cinema and then to COSMO buffet 😁

My 4 year old has suddenly become aware of it all and has asked for a party during the day with paper plates and snack food, and to be woken just in time for midnight for "a cheers with lemonade and a nice cup of tea" before going back to bed. (Tea being warm milk in a mug...!)

Taking my youngest 2 to the cinema to watch Zootropolis 2 after lunch. Got party food bits today for food tomorrow evening so easy to rustle up and probably play Just dance or something until they go to bed 🛏️

We planned to go swimming but all the pools around us shut. Forecast is 1 or 2 degrees so not keen for an outside activity as the kids (3 and 4) get miserable when cold and it's a nightmare when they need a wee or whatever.
Can't think of what else to do and we've spent the last 3 days at home apart from the odd walk or bike ride to the shop - lovely but I feel like we need to get out.
Grandparents are having them for sleepover tomorrow night though so we can go to a NYE party which is so kind of them.
