Does anyone’s dc share a bedroom?

Read a few posts on here and it seems like no one’s dc share a bedroom on a full time basis. Does anyone’s dc share as room full time? It was the norm where I lived as a dc!

My dc do. They have, and have always had the option of not doing it (which I remind them of every time they bicker about bedtime) but they like to share. They are late teens now.

Not now as my eldest has left home but used to have oldest 2 together.

My two boys do aged 4 & 7 and it’s largely their choice. If the 4 year old had his way he would sleep next to his brother so a separate bed in the same room is a compromise

Mine do, most kids i know irl do, but mumsnet doesnt often reflect real life, ime anyway and you get judged on here for it.

My 3 girls shared for years til we got an extension. It's fine.

Mine did when younger but one is autistic and needed his own space and the other two are opposite sex so needed their own space after about 7/8

Mine did (by choice - so they could have a bedroom and a playroom) until they were 11 and 14. Then they decided it was time to go their separate ways and we -re-organised everything so they have a room each (but no playroom)

Mine did when they were younger but they were mostly in their own rooms by their early or mid teens. Tbh I found it much easier when they could retreat to their own rooms if they were squabbling with their siblings or if they were misbehaving.

Mine all have their own rooms now (last two years). We turned the front room into a bedroom (the youngest was just about to start secondary school). They are pleased to have their own space but the two that shared didn’t really moan but didn’t have friends over as much as they do now.
