Looking for a hotel/air bnb or similar for a night to be able to visit Cardiff Castle. 2 adults and one tween. Will need to be able to park.

I’ve been Googling but thought I’d ask here for any recommendations or advice please!

Do you want to be within walking distance to the castle/city centre? If so look at Pontcanna, Canton for air bnbs. 3/4 miles out Whitchurch/Rhiwbina, Radyr 3 stops into town on the train.
Holiday inn a few minutes walk away- has parking. Lots ‘nicer’ hotels however I think many have limited/no parking options.

Indigo.

Nice modern hotel, walking distance to the castle and very central. (Ask for a room in the back though - Queen Street buskers are loud).

They do discounted parking in one of the Multi Stories, but to be honest I’d park in the John Lewis carb park (which is the cheapest in town).

I am going to suggest Future inn in Cardiff bay. It has free parking but is no frills. However you are close to the train which goes into the centre or you can get the water taxi straight up to the castle and the bay is nice. If you want to go high end the Parkgate is lovely and the NCP is over the road. You can park over night in St Davids and john Lewis carparks but that is expensive. Both premier inns are good and the one by the station means you can park overnight at the station.
