Pic?

Pearlstillsinging · 30/12/2025 10:01

What's the difference?

amiadickhead · 30/12/2025 10:01

Does it matter? if it comes down to the knees it'll hardly be indecent if you wear it as a dress.

TemporarilyCantDoMyself · 30/12/2025 10:02

Knitted is to do with how the fabric is constructed, as opposed to woven. I wouldn't trust the marketing to be correct.
A link and a close up of the fabric might clear this up.

That’s a dress.

TemporarilyCantDoMyself · 30/12/2025 10:33

Yes it's knitted. Not wool though. WITH wool, not entirely made of wool. 11%. Very nice dress but criminal shame so much if it is actually plastic. Sigh.

What do you mean by plastic? I wear pure cashmere jumpers and would love a pure cashmere dress but it would cost too much

Because it's mainly polyester and acrylic. You'd be better with 100% merino if not cashmere. It is a dress though. At 116cm in length, it certainly doesn't sound like a jumper.

Giddykiddy · 30/12/2025 11:41

Def a dress - lovely too

I've got a few knitted dresses. None are wool but warm and I wear them a lot. Obviously wool and cashmere would be warmer but I like my knitted dresses and they look smart.

I’ve ordered a pure cashmere dress from the UNIQLO sale, reduced to £70, if that helps OP.

CharlotteStreetW1 · 30/12/2025 12:11

Why would you believe the "someone" when it's very obviously a knitted dress?

Had a look. Did not like

I would not buy a cashmere dress for £70. I buy cashnere jumpers from marks and soencers for £90 so I would expect a cashnere dress to be £150 at least

It's the sale price but I wouldn't buy a cashmere dress at all. Think of all the pilling!
In answer to your OP that is definitely a dress.

Fine, be dismissive and wear whatever crap you want and I shan't bother to add to the conversation.

You implied you didn't understand another poster's comment about plastic (synthetic materials) and followed up that you'd love a pure cashmere dress if not for the expense, so not sure what replies you expected.

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 30/12/2025 13:09

Might I suggest you invest some of your budget in charm school, OP?
