Anyone else fed up of hearing about this ?
No one really knows what’s gone on but I do know one thing.
The families playing it out in the press and their own behaviour towards each other is deplorable.
Everyone in any argument has their own side to the story. it takes 2 to tango.
Im sure both sides have said, done things but are too proud to hold their hands up and take responsibility.
Lets face it it’s never going to resolve unless they consider the other sides feelings is it ?
Thoughts ?

I've managed to happily miss all of it.

Until I log into Mumsnet which is the only place I see people keep going on about it.

Thank you for starting a thread about this important issue you were fed up of hearing about.

Stop talking about it if it bothers you that much.

I think it's really sad that it's being played out in the media, who will stir it up for headlines. The media won't rest until they break someone or there's a big happy reunion.

The Beckham divide is more equal in that both 'sides' can play the media game with their influence and wealth.

The Peaty - Ramsay divide is less equal as the Peaty family probably don't have the media training, the influence or the monies to 'play' the game.

Well OP I'm with you but only because nothing of significance is being reported! If they just bloody said what had happened I don't think it would have this much press! I'm just about nosey enough to keep up with it 😂

JacknDiane · 29/12/2025 15:09

I think it must be hellish constantly needing the attention these adults need

It isn't easy having to deal with the fallout from a family rift, all the more so for people in the public eye. We all know that certain newspapers like nothing more than to stir up trouble, and I dare say that in a lot of cases, what they print is not the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

A relative of mine appeared in a newspaper article (she won a flower-arranging prize), and the journalist fucked that story right up. You wouldn't think there was enough in a story like that for them to get it so totally wrong, but they did.

I was interviewed by a journalist once, and what they printed as a 'quote' from me was not what I actually said to them at all. They reworded it and changed the context and meaning entirely.

Everything the press prints about people in the public eye should be taken with a giant pinch of salt, and anyone who believes what they read is a gullible fool.

Buscobel · 29/12/2025 15:55

They’ve all been given the oxygen of publicity and they've all taken advantage of it. There’s probably no coming back from it in either of those families.

I love a celeb feud - the endless ridiculous stories based on the flimsiest little thing, the stupid phrases: ‘breaks cover’, ‘says her piece’, ‘breaks his silence’, ‘sends a subtle message with her blouse choice’ etc etc. To have an intersecting celeb feud like the Beckhams/Peatys is a rare treat

Why Beckhams?? I thought he married a Ramsay. God I can feel myself getting sucked down a rabbit hole here agh nooo! Must find out!?

Nofksleft2give · 29/12/2025 16:43

Beckhams and Ramsays are best friends. Apparently. They were guests at the wedding. HTH.
