What’s your most chaotic ‘mum life’ moment this week?

Mine was trying to tidy one area while the kids created a whole new disaster behind me. I swear it’s like living with tiny tornadoes. What’s your funniest or most chaotic moment this week?

😄😄

Oh gosh, we went to ny for xmas

Theyve got a target near times square that has a slope in it, not sure why. So the shop is on one level, and then another part is slightly lower with a slope facilitating this

Dd, 6 with autism, LOVED this slope and decided she was gonna lay down and roll around while i'm trying to find snacks that she would eat

So i'm there, pulling her up the slope while she lays on the ground giggling, with american mothers judging my parenting

Then we get to check out, and she takes the opportunity to bolt back to the slope to roll on it again

I've found a picture of the exact place. Maybe she thinks asda needs a slope in it?

Just one of my many 'mum life's moments this week 😄

Oh this made me smile — I can just picture her rolling around giggling on that slope 😄. What a joyful moment! And honestly, I love how you handled it. Kids like ours find magic in the most unexpected places 💫.
I really relate — autism runs on both sides of my family. I grew up in a house where 2 out of 6 of us were autistic. I’m the eldest, and 2 of my 4 brothers have it, plus my sister too. I’m 30 now, and I think my daughter may have it as well — she’s 3, non‑communicating, but full of personality and light.
She’s obsessed with her light‑up bear and disco ball 🧸✨ — the moment they switch on, it’s like she’s hosting her own rave! She babbles, spins, and wants to party all the time. It’s beautiful and a bit overwhelming too — especially when she gets overstimulated and doesn’t know how to come down from it.
Another moment that really stuck with me was when she got fixated on the sound of the washing machine — she’d sit in front of it for ages, babbling and rocking, completely mesmerised. It was her calm space. I didn’t understand it at first, but now I see how much sensory comfort it gave her 🌀.
If you ever fancy swapping stories or just chatting through the highs and lows, I’d love that. These little moments — like the slope in Target — they stay with us. Maybe we could share more of them together sometime 💛.

Of course 🥰

Its true, joy can be found anywhere with our sen kids, it never hurts sometimes to just embrace the madness 😄

Your daughter sounds so sweet! And has literally just inspired me to have a mini rave for me and dd for nye!! She sounds like a little legend already!!

I will message you! ❤️
