Has anyone ever booked tickets to the darts at Ally Pally?

There's a group of about 12 of us wanting to go next year. Apparently they will be using one of the larger halls at AP, so the capacity is increasing, but looking into the booking details, to have the best chance, you need to pay £50 to be part of the fan club thing that gives you pre-sale access, and you can then only buy for 6 people (meaning we'll need 2 people to pay the membership and then be successful in getting through to book)

Logistically, it sounds like a nightmare before you've even sorted travel and accommodation! But we really wanna be part of it!

Have you been? How did it go and what was it like?

We have been a few years ago when it was easy to get tickets but the whole thing sold out in about 15 mins this year, one of my family members has a membership but we still weren't quick enough. It was a cracking night out.

Very difficult to get tickets but sometimes they become available nearer the time on Twickets (and the secondary sellers but I personally wouldn’t use them). Obviously, that won’t work if there are twelve of you. Absolutely brilliant night out though, well worth going. Not sure how it will be in a bigger hall. My DH and DS went to the Premier League Darts at the O2 and they were disappointed as they felt the venue was too big and it affected the atmosphere.

Watching because we want to go too, we’ve said it for a few years now.

I bought DH tickets for xmas last year to watch the final. He loved it! They were pricey but I bought last minute.

Dh has been twice now as a jolly through work and loves it.

They scan the reselling sites, cancel those tickets and put them back on sale but again you have to be fast. You can also get hospitality packages with hotels but if like us you live close enough to not need a hotel that works out v expensive.
