Explorers and Cadets

I work with the Explorer Scouts (so around 14–18) in my local area and we're looking to do some joint activities with our local Cadet group. All we know that the Cadets have a set curriculum that they're supposed to follow, whereas we just have a programme that can be moved around or swapped at any point.

Does anyone have any experience of Scouts/Explorers working with Cadets or any ideas for things we could do with them?

TIA

Its been a while since I was with Army cadets but off the top of my head, activities like map and compass and orienteering would cross over well.

Army or air force cadets? If the latter, maybe something around the Air Activities staged badges?

@moggerhanger It's the Army Cadets!

DofE scheme and Chief Scout and King's Scout Award work.

Preparing for expeditions would work for both - map and compass work, country code, fire-lighting, tent pitching, rucksack packing, First Aid would cross over readily. As would pioneering and backwoods cooking and orienteering
