WHY does it take so long to get OUT of one??? I don’t even properly clean-I know they’ll have cleaners in-but it takes (or is taking in my case!) ages. And it’s only dp and me- everyone else left yesterday after doing their bedrooms and bathrooms. We thought it’d be super quick!!!

What are you doing? Packing? When we Air B and B we pay cleaning fees, eg £100 at last one in Liverpool (luxury accommodation though). Even regular houses ask/demand around £50 (upwards cleaning fee).

I don't understand?

I’m not sure what you mean.
pack your stuff - as you would at any hotel
load the dishwasher
strip the bed if requested

what’s taking so long? Why is it specific to air BnB?

We have one in Spain.
The state it's been left in suggests one set of guests had a chem sex party

We’re home now. I don’t know WHY it’s so difficult! It was a big house, there were 6 of us and we did loads of cooking and there were loads of presents and wine so a ton of recycling and rubbish.. And still some leftovers too good to bin. And we took ingredients and utensils. Oh well-if nobody else has the same problem it must be just us….!

Was there something specific about it being an Airbnb? Wouldn't it take the same time whatever accomodation you'd booked ?

I have an Airbnb (actually get many more guests through booking.com). I don’t charge cleaning fees on top, but the way it is left varies hugely. And one lot rearranged all the kitchen cupboards, moving things about which took forever to put back! Not sure why they did that they were only there three days.
We only ask that food and rubbish be removed (there are big communal bins on the way out), used towels left in a pile, dishes done and swept clean.
Anyway a tip is use booking.com if listed on both portals (unless priced differently) because Airbnb charges the guest whereas booking.com charges the owner commission.
