Help me book a holiday

Hi all

Due to a number of factors it’s been at least a decade since I booked a foreign package holiday. I am hoping to take my daughter on holiday after her GCSE exams in the summer before the schools break up, hoping that it might finally be affordable for us to travel abroad together.
I imagine things have changed since I last booked a package deal online. Those of you who do this regularly, which websites do you use and do you have any tips to help me get the best deal? I would prefer a package with flights and hotel/accommodation included and possibly transfers if possible.
Any help much appreciated! Thanks 😊

Try Secret Escapes - I have 3 holidays booked with them so far for 2026….

Excellent thanks, where are you headed?

We use Jet2 Holidays and never had a problem, however a lot depends on your budget, date and airport options so try looking first at OnTheBeach or LoveHolidays which have much better search filters. You should be able to suss out which planes fly on which days and times, and whether there are hotels that you like the look of.

Personally I don’t book through OTB or LH even though they’re cheaper because they’re not ABTA protected (we lost £1200 a few years ago because of that) but they’re a decent indicator of what’s available with Jet2/TUI/other package holidays.

Once you’ve pretty much decided on a package mess about with dates a bit. It can save you hundreds if you click on different dates and durations on the Jet2 site. We wanted to go for 12 nights last year but 14 nights was £500 cheaper!

Good luck!!

I’ve had great experiences with both Tui and Jet 2 Holidays – full packages. Where are you thinking of going? People on here might be able to suggest good resorts or hotels.

EasyJet holidays are decent too. Well worth a look at when you’ve got some idea of dates and a destination.
