What happens?

No judgement but what happens if a parent can’t cope with a child anymore? Do they contact the other parent and ask them to take them?

Asking the other parent to either take them full-time or for a larger percentage of time would be the first step.

If the other parent isn't able or willing to step-up then they could look to extended family.

If there is no help there then asking social services to step in would be the last resort.
