New Year's Challenge - try one new thing every week in 2026?

2025 has been a rubbish year for me in many ways. I feel like I'm a bit stuck in a rut after a close family bereavement at the the very end of 2024, and I think I'm a bit depressed. I'm determined to shake things up a bit in 2026, and I've decided to set myself a challenge of trying something new each week. It could be big or it could be tiny - anything from trying a new recipe to exploring a new hobby or travelling to a new place will count. At least some of the things will need to push me out of my comfort zone a little.

Would anyone like to join me?

I'll join you! Great idea. 2026 is going to be my year. I have a brand new recipe book that looks really delicious, for starters.

Let's do this!

Every week might be pushing it a bit for me, but I’ll give it a try.
I already planned this for once a month, so far for January I planned to go for a walk somewhere I’ve never been before.
I could try a new class in the first week of Jan, because everyone is going to the gym in January and my regular classes are overbooked.
Second week I could cook a new recipe.
Third week I could think of something new for the book club.
Fourth week I might go to the lido and have a swim.

Let’s see how that goes, shall we?
What have you got planned?

I'm still making my plans at the moment, will post here later when I have properly formulated what I'm going to do.

Glad to have some company!❤

@LadyLucksalot I really want 2026 to be "my year" too... 2025 has been pretty shit tbh, so I'm determined to switch things up a bit!

all those are in the correct settings you don’t need preheat on and that is switched off

have you tried switching it on and off at the mains switch near it
should be about the size of a plug socket with a switch and a red light on
