Parsnips and an extra tray of pigs in blankets in the big oven 😳 can’t believe I missed half the meal 🤣 anyone else forget anything ?!

I ditched the pigs in blankets yesterday as there was so much going on. We'll do them for lunch today instead.

Last year I did this with the stuffing. No-one noticed!

The red cabbage. I'd made it in advance and it just needed reheating, so when I got everything out of the fridge I popped it straight into the microwave to have one less thing cluttering up the sides. I discovered it when I opened the microwave again to cook the Xmas pudding about 9 hours later! It will be eaten as part of today's dinner instead.

That sounds like a great breakfast or lunch with no extra cooking effort. It will be fine having been out of the fridge, unless your house is super hot.

Peas were found in the microwave when a plate of seconds was reheated.

Second tray of stuffing found about six hours later.

Sense of humour wasn't lost at any point fortunately.

I couldn’t find the Christmas pudding so did mince pies with brandy sauce instead
After everyone had gone and I was putting things away I found it behind a loaf of bread in the cupboard (the cupboard I didn’t check originally).Will have it on New Year’s Day.

We found two cold sausages from 23rd still in the oven on 24th. Nothing missed from Christmas dinner this year but I twice made then forgot to serve bread sauce so I’ve given up on it now.
