Festive red face

Last few weeks I have been STRUGGLING with skin redness, soreness and bumps. Tried to find a moisturiser but I’m very sensitive and haven’t found anything that works (I put a post on here recently asking for suggestions for a good moisturiser). Recently with the cold weather, central heating, working in a dry and hot building it’s been so sore and uncomfortable and I’m so self conscious about my Santa red face!
I’ve had a couple of Xmas drinks today and the heating has been on so it’s flushed bright red again. I’ve steered clear of any make up etc as it is so sore and uncomfortably irritated.
anyone else struggled with this? I’ve had it all my life but seems worse than usually this year. Is it worth a doctors appointment?

Yes, it’s probably Rosacea. Soolantra is the best prescription cream I’ve tried but the GP is likely to make you try a couple of other things first ( which might work for you even though they didn’t for me).

@Wbeezer thank you , I’ll make a doctors appointment ☺️ I’ve always had this but never thought to get it looked at before! It’s so annoying isn’t it! Merry Christmas 🎄

Yes looks like rosacea. I’ve had it a couple of years. GP can give you stuff for it, I had rosex, soolantra (both creams) and a long term low dose antibiotic.

in the meantime, don’t use anything drying on your face and a good intense moisturiser for sensitive skin. An anti histamine might help too.

Also use high factor sunscreen as UV can trigger an outbreak even in the winter if it’s sunny ( sunny and cold is bad for me!).
