Keyboard has 36 white keys
Does anyone know what notes are which in order from left to right??

Find a group of 2 black keys. The white key immediately to the left is C. Then follow the white keys from left to right:

C D E F G A B C

The last C should be an octave above, next to another group of 2 black keys.

Satisfiedkitty · 25/12/2025 08:49

Think it will start with a C.

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 25/12/2025 08:49

The white keys are ABCDEFG from left to right. The black keys are the sharps and flats in between.

If you look at the pair of black keys, the white note to the immediate left of the left black key is C. So the left black note is C sharp. Ie one half tone higher than C.

For clarification, the note D is the white key in between the two black keys.

Hope this helps

That's much clearer than my explanation!

The 1st white key on the far left may depend on how large the keyboard is, how many octaves it has as not all are full sized.

purpleme12 · 25/12/2025 08:59

Thank you everyone I think I've got it now

So it might not start with C now?

As above check where the pattern of black keys start. There are 2 together, then a gap then 3 together.

Randomchat · 25/12/2025 09:05

The first note on the left hand side of the keyboard is not necessarily a C, no. Depends how big your keyboard is. Look at the patterns of the black keys. They repeat the whole length of the keyboard. Then follow @Tusktusk s instructions

Thanks I did do this and I had done it correctly like posters said on here

The other post confused me
