Feel out of sorts. Burning feeling in stomach. No energy. Have to cook for everyone tomorrow.

Been feeling very out of sorts the last few days. I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my stomach, like excess acid or something. I have been taking gaviscon which has helped a bit but it’s still there. I have not had any alcohol or rich foods, tricky given the time of year! But have avoided in case it makes it worse. Feel very run down and exhausted, I am overweight and menopausal and assumed it was that but now I’m worried something else is going on. Will ring doctors on Monday but somehow have to get through cooking lunch for family tomorrow. The other thing going on with me is that I have a large nodule on my thyroid (thyroid function normal and needle biopsy was fine) they want to remove it but I need to chase it up, I think I am lost in the system somewhere.
Not sure what the point of this thread is other than I am a bit scared that it’s something serious, I just need to put a brave face on it and get on with it. DH knows and is being helpful and will help out lots tomorrow but I don’t want to worry the rest of my family.

Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling rough, OP. Can I just asked, have you been ultra stressed lately? Going through anxiety, possibly?
it could be a touch of gastritis….
I had it too with the exact same symptoms.

Not massively stressed but my menopause symptoms are making me very tetchy! And of course I have been doing all the usual Christmas preparations. Thank you for your reply, can I ask how/if you managed to solve it?
