Any tips for cheap theatre tickets?

I would like to take my children to a west end theatre after Xmas as a Christmas treat. Not bothered by what we see as long as ok for teens, but they like children’s shows as well. A long time ago I remember you could queue at the theatre to see if there were any returns / last minute tickets. Does this still happen? My budget is about £30 a ticket, so not sure if there’s a chance of getting anything ? Thanks for any tips

I tend to always buy from TodayTix - they often have sales and theres daily releases ("Rush") of cheap tickets on the day for a lot of shows

Also depending on age of kids, have a look at The Snowman at peacock theatre - seems to be a lot of half price tickets for some of the shows
