Anyone else losing the plot?

Food shop arrived at lunchtime. All put away. Then I settled myself down for an afternoon of wrapping, cheeky MN, and a Christmas film or two.

Got to the last present and realised I hadn't wrapped Levi's for my son! I remember they were delivered. I remember putting them in the present pile. But they were nowhere to be seen!

An hour of frantic searching began. Every possible hiding place was searched along with ds20 and ds25. 'Mum have you wrapped them already?' Said ds20 'of course I bloody haven't!!' I text my cleaner in case she moved them. I text dp in case I'd accidentally given them to him along with some presents. Ds20 looked in my emails. Ah ha there was a picture of it being delivered- the picture was inside my car. I remember... I met the postman down the road and he gave them to me.

More searching and plenty of swear words later...... I remembered they were the first thing I wrapped yesterday. I left them in the packaging in case they had to go back.

Ds's are currently looking for suitable care home for me. Anyone else losing the plot?!

I’ve lost one of the sweatshirts I bought for DS. So feel your pain op.

I lose a gift every year, it’s a tradition! One year, I’d left it in the car, still in the Amazon packaging and dh had taken it to the recycling centre with a load of empty boxes. This year, it was a 3 man tent that we bought for ds, eventually found hidden right at the back of my wardrobe

I also feel your pain, op. I fought my way round Tesco yesterday, and I know damned well I bought a jar of Marmite. God knows what I've done with it, and I was so looking forward to crumpets and marmite tonight. I suspect it's fallen out of the shopping bag and is somewhere in the car, but do I want it enough to go out in the cold in my jammies to look for it...?

I’ve left one of my DH’s presents at work! I bought it in September and put it in a cupboard at work! I’m trying to work out how I can go back in without work thinking we have burglars! 🤣

Me too

I bought something for DH, still have no idea where it is 😳🙄

I seem to have wrapped an extra package up?

It is a small, brown envelope from Virgin. It's to do with my landline (they've sent me a new gizmo otherwise my landline wont work in January). Someone is going to be rather disappointed to unwrap that!!

The first thing i lost was DD4s advent calendar.

I bought it mid Nov and put it <doom music> ''somewhere safe''. I searched and bloody searched and around the 8th or 9th i found it under the spare room bed. (DD was gutted to have 9 chocs to eat all in one go of course ...)

The second thing i lost was a small Lindt choc santa to put in her lunch box as a surprise on her last day at school. I had to replace it. It'll turn up in June or July i expect.

The third thing i lost was a watch bought as a present. It came in the post and i unthinkingly opened the parcel when the recipient was right by me so i had to quickly put it somewhere, and could i bloody remember where later on that night? No!!! It took me 3 days of intermittent hunting. I'd slung it in the crisp basket!

ZOOMBIE THREAD....
It's the end of April and I'm still losing the plot...with DHs birthday coming up, I bought those numeral candles for his birthday cake.( we're very old so it would've taken quite awhile to light 74 individual ones)...whilst getting ready to make his cake, I could only find one candle ( the 7, but not the 4) I searched everywhere...Poor DH is used to my plotless ways, so after many hours of searching, I decided he wouldn't mind being '7' instead of '74'....low and behold, I discovered the 'lost' number 4 in our medicine cabinet in the bathroom whilst getting a plaster yesterday....yay! DH will be able to celebrate properly for once.Biscuit
( please excuse any errors as it 4:17a.m. here in California)
