Random stomach pains that make me vomit

GP prescribed omoprazole a while back but it doesn’t do anything for the pain.

A few times a week, I will spend half the day in agony and it brings a wave of something m that makes me vomit, but isn’t nausea if that makes sense?

The pain is about a 9 out of 10. Really sore.

Its been going on for about 6 months.

I had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago - it’s not the same pain. Lower down in the stomach I’d say and in the middle but radiates

Bloods all okay

It’s ten times worse if I have an empty stomach

My husband gets this on the night, happens if he lays funny on his side. He takes the gaviscon tablets extra strength and it really helps!

Could be gastritis, a hernia, ulcer or a whole host of other things, you need an endoscopy to see what's going on.

Ask your doctor to consider and endoscopy for a sliding hiatus hernia

I had gastritis which caused similar pain but I had to take lanzaprazole for months to get rid of it and I cut out dairy and acids food for ages.

however you’ve had this for six months and I’d be pushing for further tests to rule other things out at this stage

I have a sliding hiatus hernia, causes similar issues. The pain is excruciating

I think I have gastritis at the moment . I do have tablets but previously it was only occasionally. It's horrible as I am hungry but can't eat . Trying to keep hydrated but then constantly peeing . Nuisance and quite painful .

Could it be tonsillitis? That's what it was like for me.

Abdominal migraine? More common in children but it might be worth looking into.
