Has anyone had this before? Will it get fixed?

I ported my number from smarty to EE last monday, I got a text from EE saying the port had started, then got another text saying it was finished and to restart my phone.

All fine as in I can make and recieve calls, I can send texts and get texts from other people but I can't get OTP texts, say to verify my bank app, It's not even letting me make an account at EE because once I get to the number to confirm I don't get the text.

Just been locked out of my google account because of too many failed attempts at getting the text, can't log in to my bank app and a few other things.

Called EE support yesterday who told me all the usual such as restart my phone, take sim out and put back in, turn on airplane mode and back off again etc and nothing is working, they were supposed to be calling me back today but heard nothing. I topped up £15 because they said I needed credit to recieve texts and even that didn't work.

Has this happened to anyone else? was it ever fixed?

It’s a stuck port. It will take forever to fix because the normal call centre people can’t see that. It needs to be escalated to the porting team - insist on that. You’re in for a long slog getting this sorted unfortunately
