What are your NY resolutions or goals for 2026?

I always love creating a long list of NY resolutions that 90% of the time I’ve given up on by the 4th of January but once again I’m doing it this year and I’m really going to try this time to stick with it, would love to hear others.

Mine are

  • exercise more
  • drink less alcohol (wanting to do dry January)
  • less frivolous spending

Some goals I’d like to achieve in 2026 are

  • learn British sign language
  • Learn to do the splits

I’d like to lose another 6 or 7 kg.
i want to go to the gym as much as possible and i want to finish some craft projects

Loose 3 stone
declutter the house
do some decorating - once decluttered

Well my resolutions for this year were to try reformer Pilates (loved it, now a member of my local studio), give blood (unsuccessful for a variety of reasons but will try again next year) and some investment ones (mission accomplished).
This year I aim to build back up my bum (it’s gone flat due to weight loss 😭), complete a swim challenge abroad and I’m contemplating the London to Brighton bike ride with a family member. So all quite physical challenges for me this year and I’m looking forward to them.

l don’t normally set them but I think 3 feels like the right amount.

The keys to having any chance of success is to set specific goals. So, instead of 'exercise more' 'drink less' you need to specify - run x2 week, go to the gym x2 week; only drink Friday and Saturday and limit myself to 2 glasses a night etc
