Does anyone still play? Are you still in the game? I still haven't heard it this year despite having Christmas radio on constantly and being in and out of shops. I think I may be struck out tomorrow as we have a long drive and the radio will be on.

We don't really properly play it but it was one of the songs my daughter's class were singing in their carol concert so we've been hearing both real and screeched version since November 😂

Though I have lost The Game three times this year!

Not heard as many people talking about it this year, but I'm still doing it with a group of friends, I went out on about the 10th when I heard it in a shop.

A bit controversial this year as DH took it too seriously. Him and the kids then got upset when it blasted out on an insta reel I was watching.

It will be banned in the house next year.

Oh dear. DH and I don't take it very seriously. We will laugh when we are eventually caught.

It’s been playing since November on the radio 😭 I lost on the 1st.

20yo DS and I play it every year.

Last year I was out on the 1st Dec, DS managed to last until the 13th despite working in retail.

This year I was doing brilliantly until DS pointed out that I was avoiding listening to the radio and not allowing anyone to put any music channels on so I was only doing myself a disservice.
So I allowed myself to listen to music again and was Whammed last Friday.

I play. I joined the Halls of Whamhalla on the 4th at a xmas disco. I heard someone else cry "noooooo" at the same time 😆

I feel the pain.

3rd of December for me. I was so annoyed! Last year I lasted until the last day of term when I heard it coming from one of the Y1 classrooms. I’d only popped down their end of school to get something from the art cupboard.

I whamed myself on the 5th December I forgot I put it on a playlist. I once went to Christmas Eve without hearing it.

I lost straight away as it was the first Christmas song I heard when I was at the shops several weeks ago. I had no chance!

I lost on Thursday watching The Holiday. It’s on in the background of the Christmas party at the start.

I’m still in, which is frankly unbelievable. I’m normally out by the 2nd

I always forget about it until too late, this year we were listening to s Christmas playlist on Spotify in the car...

DH: 'have you heard about this thing where some people try and avoid hearing Wham for as long as possible?'

Me: 'yes - whamaggedon. I don't think I've heard it this year yet'

DH: 'me neither, but to be fair I don't really leave the house much. I reckon I could make it at least until the end of next week' (he works from home, finished work on Friday so figured he could easily avoid it until then)

Just heard it at an ice rink!

I can't believe I'm still in. I'm going out to the cinema tomorrow with DS so that's high risk, but this is the furthest I've ever got.

Lasted till this morning. Turned on radio for the news and Wham! Damn you, radio 2!

Thought I was doing well up until mid December in the UK, then heard it playing in a Christmas market here in Italy!
