Instead of cocking about on MN?

I should be present wrapping but instead I’ve cocked about on MN for the last hour

Tidying the front room, the play room and the dining room because about 4 neighbours are coming over for nibbles tomorrow.

Getting dressed but I now have two cats padding away on me and purring.
In my defence, I have done three loads of washing and cleaned out the fridge in the garage ready for Christmas food.

Hanging some washing up. Present wrapping. Changing my bed. Going to the post office to send off some returns.

Nothing! I cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday with the aim of having today doing as little as possible!

Should be going into Tesco instead I am sitting in the car on Mumsnet🙈

I should be going into town to pick up some last minute online orders. I am drinking tea with my dogs cuddled in. I will go soon.....maybe 😂

Ok - I laid all my presents out but got overwhelmed and have poured myself a baileys and am listening to Christmas Tunes

20 minutes of cardio - decided to do it at 5pm but should just get it done now.
Some work I need to finish up before Xmas - about 2 hours worth but will just have a cup of tea first 😂

Wrapping but my little miracle baby is asleep on me so I'm not moving

I should have got out of bed, had a shower and got dressed, tidied up but I'm still in bed because I feel rubbish.

That reminds me, add empty the bins to that list. And walk the dog.

Packing

I’m actually pretty much up to date on anything Christmas related…

Just waiting for the dishwasher and washing machine to finish.

Going to make a rice crispy cake and cornflake cakes later on.

I should be cleaning the kitchen and getting bedrooms ready for guests.

Making a cabbage side dish for freezing. Taking out table cloths, good table settings etc to stock take and see what needs cleaning or ironing. A work CPD thing, about 2 hours long. Deciding what to wear tomorrow. I have the house to myself almost (dd upstairs gaming with a friend), 2 other kids are out and DH collecting later and I said I've lots to do here. Yet I'm watching Netflix and pausing to scroll, I've just eated a Terry's chocolate orange and am on my second cuppa.

Going to the gym or making some Florentines. Instead I’m lying on the sofa watching Masterchef. I did cycle into town earlier so reckon that I don’t have to go to the gym. But I do have to make the Florentines as I’ve promised my mum some.

Wrapping presents. Getting chilli for tonight on the go. Finding somewhere to get my nails done.

But I’m watching Sleepless in Seattle with the chocolate tin.

Studying.

I am doing a Masters and have two exams the first week of January 😶

Wrapping Stocking fillers
At the shops buying last minute gifts and the food shop
Cleaning the house
Writing cards and delivering them
Probably a few other things

And yet here I am still in bed on mumsnet

I should be at the supermarket getting the food shop…

Oh how lovely. My miracle IVF baby is now 24 and 6ft 2.

Whatever l like.. l do have Grandson here.. hes 11 and Home Educated.... he wanted to do some physics ( I'm hopeless at physics) we settled for Geography .. l keep telling him .. if he was at school it's the Christmas holidays... but he just has a thirst for learning.. he's already studying on line via Zoom for GCSE maths.
We have now stopped .. well l have to watch a film... he's just told me he's doing some Forces and Motion equation sheets relating to mass gravitational field strength..for physics on his laptop.. No I've no idea either.. he's happy and l will get back to my film.
All my presents are wrapped.. I've sent my on line deliveries to my daughters...

Working!! Then my to do list for today other than work is dusting and giving the dog a bath

I should be doing a last minute tidy up before leaving to pick up family from airport! Also just noticed jurassic park on tv - love a good dinosaur movie!!

Finishing the wrapping and vacuuming downstairs. As it stands I’m eating left over mac and cheese debating the left over brownies too.
