I think you have to buy 2 lots of Amazon music? I’m not the best with technology but I’ll be following this thread with interest, in case I’m wrong.

This will bump your thread until someone who really knows comes along.

Isn’t there a family option for more than one device?

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/12/2025 11:37

@Moonflower12 REALLY? Thats bonkets if so. Cheeky buggers. Hopefully someone will come along to tell me its not true 😂

I don’t think that’s right as we’ve got 4 and husband accesses his dire music choices on 3 of them. What I don’t know is how.

Depends what package you have, you get get several different options, and the cheapest one is one device only

LookingForHelp2023 · 22/12/2025 11:56

to Amazon music)

Free trial possibly? No subscriptions to Amazon music here. Sorry, not much help.

Do you have Amazon prime?

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/12/2025 12:12

@Ahsheeit do you know which plan you have, ive checked and mine us singke device only. The next plan you can add more devices. But the difference is 5.99 or 10.99

You only need multiple device plan if you want to be able to play different thjngs on each alexa at the same time. If you want them to play in sync, you don't need that. You make a multi room group in the alexa app and it will play on all of them.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/12/2025 12:38

I have just looked it up and there is single device option, individual (multi devices to can onky play one at a time) or family (multi devices can play at tge sane time)

I also looked up and prime appears to INCLUDE music, so why am i paying both?

Im not cut out for this

You can play amazon music on all devices if you just have prime. With alexa telling you now and then the song you want is only on unlimited and playing adverts.
if you have amazon music unlimited on the 1 device that is just for that device.

annonymousse · 22/12/2025 13:17

Not read the whole thread and it's probably been said already. We have echo dots in every room and we get free Amazon music as we're prime members and we can play it on any or all the devices.

DinoLil · 22/12/2025 13:18

I have four of them around the house and can play music on them all. Each one is connected to my amazon account. I've not tried playing different music at the same time on them as its just me here, but they definitely all play when asked. I even have different voices on each one.

I can't remember how I set them up, I've had them for about 9yrs. And I've moved house since then and had to start again with new WiFi. It can't be that difficult if I managed it! Is your second one linked to your amazon account?

MakeMineStrong · 22/12/2025 13:19

Or play on your phone connected to Bluetooth on the speaker

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/12/2025 13:41

@DinoLil does it play exactly what you ask, or "X song and other similar music" or whayever it says.

Both devices are on my alexa app, along with the firestick.
