Vinted help

I sold a piece of clothing to someone on Vinted which was brand new with tags. It had the size of the item on said tag. The buyer has suspended the order saying it’s not the size on the tag but a smaller one. She said I should have measured the item as it’s clearly not the advertised size. I think she’s bought it and it just doesn’t fit her. I didn’t measure the item and just went off the label on the tag, as I do with all my other items. I have said she can return it at her cost. She’s going mad at me and I don’t know where I stand with this. Can anyone help please? Thanks

Hi, you don"t have to accept returns for clothing being too small if you put the correct size.

If she was unsure she should have asked you for measurements before buying. That's what I do with the majority of my purchases and I also put some measurements on my sales listings. I agree with you that she's found it doesn't fit but that's not your problem. You don't have to accept the item back but if you do, she should def pay postage.

Thanks. What would happen if she did measure it and it was in fact a different size? I just listed it based on the label which I trusted to be accurate. Can Vinted refund her and not me in this case?

Nothing would happen, but are you sure the listing was right given the big Vinted change last month which affected sizes?

@Lifejigsaw yes absolutely. The update was very annoying but it’s absolutely the right size. I have been in Vinted for years and never had this happen!
