Would you worry about this in airbnb?

I always check rooms for bed bugs when we stay away. I found these two marks on the mattress protector at the end of one of the beds, as well as a washed off small (sort of bug-sized) bloodstain nearby. Mattresses, sheets etc are otherwise pristine (so is the whole house!). I even unzipped the mattress and didn't find further marks.

Would you worry? I just don't know how else to explain those stains.

No, the marks wouldn't worry me but the lengths you go to to check would.

I know what these marks are!! If you air dry whites on the line, house flies can leave these marks. They are so hard to remove

Well i do the same every time since i experienced bed bugs in one 5 star hotel i stayed in. Check the bed frame too

to be totally honest, this is why i always travel with my own pillow protectors now. it’s just that extra bit of peace of mind knowing there’s a proper barrier between my face and a strange bed. it might be worth mentioning it to the host just to see their reaction, but definitely keep your bags off the floor just in case

Those marks are fly poo. When you dry things on the line you can get lots of these black dots. I would have re -washed it if it was my holiday let.

It sounds like there is a zipped protector on there? Those are to protect against bed bugs.
