What's the best coffee shop for hot chocolate?

Like out of the main high street ones?

Tim Hortons, ivv bc really like their hot chocolate.

I came on to say Tim Hortons is my favourite
I don't like tea or coffee so hot chocolate is my go to in coffee shops.
I also like the hot chocolate from Macdonalds or Greggs. Wetherspoons used to be nice, but then the government decided we weren't allowed to have unlimited so now you get a galaxy sachet and its not as good.
Not a fan of Costa, Starbucks or Cafe Nero at all. Too weak.

I rarely go to Cafe Nero but I had their millionaire hot chocolate the other day and it was delicious. It was pricey but so much better than Costa or Starbucks!!

I find them all too sweet.

If you want seriously rich, slightly bitter hot chocolate then Paul is great.

Doesn’t it depend what you want from a hot chocolate?

The Caffè Nero luxury one is very rich if you’re after a really indulgent treat.

Knoops. Specialist hot chocolate chain. Not particularly my thing but I do take DSis and can see the appeal

I really like Pret A Manger. Just their standard hot chocolate.

We only have Costa, Nero and Starbucks. I like the Costa Chocolate Orange one but agree Knoops is well worth seeking out in bigger towns, so many options and so creamy.

SOHO Coffee have really lovely hot chocolate, if you happen to have one of those near you

Is any of it actually properly hot?

In my mind I'd get a hot chocolate and sip it while having a leisurely sit down but it's usually luke warm despite asking for extra hot so I usually end up gulping it down while feeling robbed of the experience so I usually make it at home.

I actually really like Greggs peppermint hot chocolate. Only 2.75 too!

I came to say Knoops too. I’d never normally order a hot chocolate but will go to Knoops specifically to get one

Caffè Nero is totally underrated and by far the best high street hot chocolate.

My favourite is Greggs, I love it and it's a great price, but it depends what you want.

Greggs is great for takeaway but not if you want to sit down with a nice cup and cream and marshmallows.

I really dislike most hot chocolate available in coffee shops. Most of them are just a big cup of warm milk with a faint flavour of chocolate. I like a small cup of very strong, thick, dark hot chocolate (the best I ever had was in Barcelona).

Costa is disgusting. I prefer my hot chocolate to be milk chocolate, not alternative milk.

I like Thorntons

I used to love the hot chocolate at Apostrophe - but that company has long gone. The luxury one at Caffè Nero is what I’ve been having now and then but it’s always a little too sweet.

I googled Knoops a few minutes ago and I was delighted to discover there’s a branch a 15 minute bus journey away.

This is clearly personal as so many recommended on here I really don’t like! Ever since I got my hotel chocolate chocolate machine thingy I’ve really gone off most hot chocolates available in coffee shops. I don’t mind Starbucks- with a shot of almond syrup it’s like a hot toblerone!

Knoops 85% dark chocolate with orange. So delicious.
