Sore boobs before period is it normal?

37 years old. I’ve never suffered with any PMS symptoms at all until the last 6 months. I’ve noticed I now sometimes get sore boobs before my period is due. Which I know can be normal but is it normal if you’ve never had it before? It’s not every month. Strong family history of BC so I’m anxious.

Yes, very very normal.

BC rarely presents with pain.

I don’t think I ever had a period without having sore boobs. As the previous poster has said, it is very rare for pain to be a symptom of breast cancer.

I can understand why you are worried if it’s unusual for you.

I didn’t used to get it but as I’m getting older and either about to start or entering perimenopause it has started happening for me as well.

I started getting it at 32, it's normal. Your hormones change and fluctuate throughout your life, you may experience different period symptoms at different stages of life.

I wouldn't worry, but it's never a bad idea to go to one of those breast cancer pop ups and get checked over anyway. To ease your mind if nothing else.

Yes normal.
I never suffered any symptoms with my periods, until I hit somewhere in my early 30s.
Now I can have up to 5-10 days of sore boob's, followed with all the rest that comes with it.
There is an old thread on here about period symptoms.
Not sure what it is called but its a really good read, nearly 500 comments on it.
