Is there any hope? Vinted parcel - no tracking update since "Shipped/Dropped off by Sender"

Considering I frequently buy/sell on Vinted I've been surprisingly lucky and only ever had one parcel disappear (some £3 trousers I sold so no great loss).

However, Sod's Law, I bought some boots for around £80 which is way more than I've ever spent on there before and the parcel hasn't shown any tracking update sine it was marked as "Shipped" / "Dropped off by Sender" a week ago - this is via InPost BTW.

I'm 99% sure the sender is genuine and it's not some scam. InPost tracking said to contact them but of course they won't do anything until I wait 25 working days or whatever it is before I can mark it as an issue/not arrived via Vinted.

In anyone's experience is there any chance that my boots will just appear back in the system or is that just wishful thinking?

I've had this. After a good while vinted deemed they were lost and my money was refunded, presumably the seller reclaims from the delivery company.

No action needed from my end.

I have had so many issues with vinted over the past three months with every courier except royal mail.
Vinted will refund you. Eventually.
I did have one item arrive after being MIA for almost three weeks though so there might be hope yet of your boots arriving.

I had similar a few months ago , parcel marked as delivered to an outbuilding , no photo , I looked everywhere ant then contacted Vinted to say it hadn’t arrived , did not get my money back as it was marked as arrived , however about 3weeks later a lady dropped it in one evening , said it was deliver to her but had been away on holiday

Yes, there is still hope. With InPost it’s quite common for parcels to sit on “shipped/dropped off” for days or even over a week before suddenly updating, especially if they miss the first scan. I’ve had items reappear in the system out of nowhere. It’s frustrating, but a lack of tracking updates doesn’t automatically mean it’s lost—yet. Fingers crossed it resurfaces before you have to raise a case.

You just have to wait it out, but you’ll get the money back if they aren’t delivered. It’s like Royal Mail and their 30 day wait time before they pay out as well. Vinted will refund you, just unfortunate that you need to wait.

I’ve had a cashmere jumper go missing with dpd. Last seen a month ago. Just want my money back now.

the seller is selling an identical one so I’m wondering if it got returned to them. Very annoying either way
