Gift for niece

My niece has recently been diagnosed with autism and is undergoing tests for seizures. They're not epilepsy related, it's more zoning out and they think it's related to neurodivergence but she's undergoing a lot of tests and understandably upset.

She's a really lovely kid and I wanted to get her something special for Christmas. I thought a spa day with her mum would be nice but there's not many that let teens in. For context, they live abroad.

Has anyone got any nice ideas for wellness / activity related presents she might enjoy to take her mind off everything that's going on.

How old is she?
if you’re planning to post a present you’re probably too late to send abroad. If she’s here for Xmas could you take her shopping to choose something?

She's nearly 14. I thought about vouchers she can use in her home country. Theyre coming back to the UK for Christmas. To be honest, I've asked her mum and she's not been any help!

I'd ask Mum as she might hate the concept of a spa day.

Diamond painting kit

If she's coming over to the UK for Christmas and you're seeing her during this time I would take her out for the day shopping, for dinner and to treat her. Maybe wrap up some vouchers she can spend on your day out?

Vouchers or cash would be my suggestion. A spa day would probably be a thing of horror. @Luxio suggestion of taking her shopping is a good one, budget permitted.

Or a trip to the theatre while she’s here?
it really depends what she’s into. I know kids that age who’d love a spa/ nail appointment / shopping trip to Space NK and others who’d look at you like you’re mad if you suggested any of the above!
